Caretakers

CARETAKER’S DUTIES

FOR:

RESIDENT’S PERSONAL CARE 

The staff is responsible providing assistance to residents regarding:

A. Bathing

  • Getting residents into and out of the bathtub safely.
  • Wash cloth, towel, and soap are at hand.
  • Water temperature comfortable.
  • Back washed as needed.
  • Shampoo resident’s hair as requested. 
 B. Dressing

  • Assist in being properly dressed according to weather and daily activities.
  • Reinforce proper disposal of soiled clothing.
  • Assist in shaving and grooming hair. 
C. Eating

  • Make sure eating environment is palatable.
  • Make sure food is served at correct temperature.
  • Assist residents if needed such as :  (Meat Cutting and Pouring of liquids without spillage)
D.  Activities 

  • Encourage residents to participate in various activities

  • Assist in setting-up activities and games.
  • Assure safety procedures. 
 E.  Medications 

  • Assist in the supervision of taking of medications.
